Day #28 - Star Bokeh

This picture is an experiment using the shaped bokeh technic inspired by this article. This photo was shot with the precious help of my friend Pedro who also lended me a 50mm 1.8 lens for this picture. To know how I shot this picture follow the article link above. Just to let you know this is a picture of a set of candles. :D

  1. I've seen that tutorial before but never thought of trying. Now I'm thinking about it thanks to you.

    How many candles did you use? And did you just cut one star on the cardboard?

  3. Hassan: I just followed the tutorial. Basically it's one candle for each star and then you just let them out of focus. I covered all the lens and just cuted a small star in the centre. You'll be able to preview the effect on the camera before shooting.
